Seeking advice
I just traded in my Ranger for a 01' F150 Supercrew (Big Step Up). It's my first full size amd I wanted to put an aftermarket exhaust system on that will increase HP,MPG, and sound rumbly. I'm sure this is a common question, so sorry for boring you. But, any suggestions that won't break a college student's bank account? Appreciate any help. Thanks.

You didn't say what engine you have, but a budget route would be to cut out the stock muffler and replace it with the appropriate sound level of Flowmaster muffler (see their web site for sound charts). My understanding is that stock mufflers are very restrictive, which is the method of quieting the engine.

i'd go w/ flowmaster 40 series. its not too loud but will let everyone know what you have. It would be good for an engine.
