Sadly enough, it wouldn't surprise me if the idiot was drunk or otherwise doped up.

My first guess would also be alcohol/drug impairment. But, it could also be fatigue, an elderly driver that was confused, possibly be a bad ramp design or even bad weather.

I got an a four lane divided highway the wrong way once. It was bad foggy and night time. I realized it immediately and was able to get turned around safely but had someone been coming the other way it would have been a different ending. And no, I was not drunk.

One report said one was a cop, so it will take them all day to cover u... I mean investigate. The next report had no info, other than to say no one would give any info. Stay tuned....

What I'm hearing now is that a Culver City Police Department Sergeant was struck and killed in his dept. vehicle by the wrong way driver who was also killed.
