I just installed my Pacesetter Predator 3" Cat back system and am installing a FIPK in the next few days. Do I need to reset the engine computer? If not how long does it take for it to adapt to the new equipment?

I reset the computer after just about every change that I make to the engine.
It is a simple proceedure, I warm up my truck, shut it off and then unhook the battery for about a minute, then hook it back up, start the truck up again, and don't touch anything. Don't open the doors, don't touch the throttle, (or clutch). you want the truck to idle for a minute or two without any electrical, or load changes.
I can hear my truck idle change after about 45 seconds.
