Ok, my question is would it be of any benifit besides sound to hook up a 3" exhaust with glass pack to my stock y-pipe. The reason I would connect it to my stock y-pipe is because of my camper special package (can't find headers that will work with that package) and I want to do the work myself.
Thanks for you help.
little loss of Torque, gain of horsepower. really good sound, not as loud but deeper and tougher sounding. You wont be able to tell the Torqu and HP differances, only the dyno.
I really wish I knew why they have the camper special restrictions. Headers really help on the older trucks esp the 360/390 motors. Only thing I can think of is maybe a front sway bar is in the way or the frame mounted gas tank. If you have the gas tank then you'd have to run the exhaust down the passenger side. It can be done. Have you thought of duals instead of 3"? Either one will help a little. Good luck.
