Just put on headers

Just bought brand new header for my 79 F150, Now I need to get it to the shop so they run the pipe, the shop is about 2-3 miles away. My question is could I drive it to the shop or should I tow it.

Shouldn't be a problem driving only 2-3 miles with open headers. Might make some people mad, though

I did this twice. Once after I installed the 460 in my 79 4x4 ( open stock manifolds) and once after I installed the L&L headers on the same truck. It was 14 miles to the exhaust shop.

Just put on headers

I drove my 1969 F100 with a freshly rebuilt 390 with open headers to the shop that was in downtown. When I got there, I pulled into the driveway, shut off the engine, got out of the truck, and heard about 4 car alarms going off on the street I just drove down!!!

Drive it and enjoy the sound only open headers can make. If you get a ticket, it will only be a fixit ticket.
