Aux input plug
2008 F250 XL. I upgraded from an AM/FM to AM/FM w/ CD, both Ford units. I want to use the aux feature of the new radio, but I need to add the input plug. When I pulled the blank panel on the lower right of the center panel where the plug would be located, I found a wire for the aux input plug. My question is whether the plug can/must be purchased with the panel attached or is it two separate parts. I got nowhere with the Ford counter guy. Part numbers would be helpful. Thanks.

If you have a harness for the radio with bare wires, then you can splice any thing into them. RCAs, 2.5mm jack, 1/4" jack, universal ipod adapter. The big thing will be finding which wires are the ground and which is right/left.

check into a pie adapter. I dont know if they have one for the 08 yet. look into it. Each pie adapter is specified to model years. they just plug into back of radio, you hook up power and ground. plug your device in and asjust pot for loudness level
