Ok I plan on changing my 2001 F-150 SC 4.6 ltr. V-8 Here is what I plan on doing I plan on putting true duel exhaust on it. I plan on putting 2 thrush glass pack mufflers. I hope its not going to be to loud ? To me back when I had a 2000 f-150 4.2 ltr V-6 I had that straight piped with single pipe going all the way back that was on the verge of being to loud so will putting true duel exhaust on the V-8 with 2 thrush glass packs make it louder than a straight piped v-6 ? If its going to be to loud should I put 2 Thrush Turbo muffler ?
Yes the cats are still on there is one cat on each pipe and I am going to leave them on to be legal.
And in the way that I plan on putting the exhaust on is right where the two pipes come togather underneath the vehicle I plan on cutting the two pipes off and on the one pipe that the other connects to that pipe will go straight back another foot and the other pipe will have a ( L ) pipe added to it then straight peices of pipes. From there I will add the two mufflers and add no more pipe from there I Will let the shop (midas) bend the pipe out to the side of the vehicle and add the chrome tips.
that will sound great. the L is kinda iffy though. if at all possible you should try to avoid a bend that sharp. its almost like having another cat on it. if you're just going for sound it won't matter, but if you want the HP and torque gained by a better flowing exhaust you should try to find a way to straighten that out (cutting that pipe farther up possibly?)
