If this engine is in need of boring, don't even dream of using stock pistons with stock heads.
If you are wanting a semblance of a budget, get 400 crank and flat top 400 pistons from TMeyer or other supplier that can supply them and then do a rebuild with those components. Use something like an Edelbrock Performer, an RV cam and full length headers and you will think you're driving a different truck.

I dont know if it needs bored for sure. I havent takin it a part yet, but im sure it will need bored. i dont plan on using stop piston either although I am thinking of using the stock heads. What is your opinion on using 2v vs. 4v heads
