I bought it on Ebay a few years ago.
But if you look at the user HDwreckers gallery pictures you will see he has a real one alot the same.
I saw his truck on here and couldnt believe it was the same paint job as this one.
Hope he sees this thread as I couldnt figure out how to directly send him the picture.

HDwrecker has never posted here, at least according to his prophile. He posted some pictures of his big ol' wrecker in his gallery though:

This one too:

I would like to know if he's done anything to it lately.

Vinford, Thanks for the picture, I thought I was looking at a model of my truck for a second there. I do know from evidence that I found in the truck that it belong to a SUNOCO service station, that explains the blue and yellow.

Bob, nice picture of the F8. I did skim through your site the other day, very nice. I love looking at large old trucks.

I haven't done anything with the trucks lately, the '55 does get used quite a bit though for personal and friend use. In-fact I was drawn to this site while doing a search for something else, and I came upon a thread started by a man that bought a '49 ford Marmon Herrington that looked familiar to me, after looking at his gallery I new that it was a truck purchased from a friend of mine, and I once had that truck hooked to the back of my '55 to help the previous owner move it around his place. I love to use them more than show them, but someday I would like the F7 to look as nice as the F8 in your picture.

Gowd! I'd love to have one of these!
It would be so much fun to follow the guys on the next Early Ford V-8 Club around on the next drive through the mountains, and latch on to the "vapor-lock victims" and take em home for a small fee! slim

The guys in Arthur Ontario that put on the Ford-Merc truck Nationals use an old wrecker with a long boom on it and lower a big pot over a fire and give everyone a fresh cooked ear of corn...FUN!

That 51/52 model looks like the ones they have at a web site that sells the 32 Ford kids pedal car.

gotta search.
