94 E250, 4.9L, OBD1, C6, rear only ABS. All gauges read perfect.

Have the van for about 7 years, runs great, no warning lites lit except "air bag" (has been lit for 2 years because of bad clock spring)

A few days ago a buzzer under the dash started beeping, 5 consecutive, even beeps and then a pause, the repeats itself.
Repeats itself 4 or 5 times, then stops for about 5 to 10 minutes, then then starts repeating itself for another 4 or 5 times, then stops again.

Anyone know what this is for?

 

thats for the clock spring ..i had the same problem....if you let the air bag lite on long enough it starts to go to a buzzer...you must have ignored that for a while...

 

the clock spring has been out for over 2 years, and just started buzzing last week.

I wouldn't think it would take that long.

 

mine took 10,000 miles then i changed it ..i think its should start at the begining but im not sure but just replace the clock spring and it will go away or unplug the buzzer...
