Mar-K has the best deal going right now. I too am looking for a bed and have looked at all of them I can find. Unless you live close enough to pick it up somewhere, Mar-K will save you a couple hundred bucks on shipping. Also be sure to check the thickness of the metal some sell 18ga. shipped from China. If I remember correctly Mar-k's is 16ga. and made right here in the USA.

Mar-k beds are great! If money is a consideration in your restoration then shipping that thing is has to be considered. Mar-Ks free shipping is a real dollar saver for the best quality.
Here is their web site!

They have been EXTREMELY helpful EVERY time I have called them.

Thanks for the kind words about MAR-K bed parts. Yes, our parts are made in Oklahoma City USA. We have some great specials going on right now with the free truck freight if you spend $1000 and order bed sides or you can buy nearly any other part other than bed sides and get Free UPS Ground!
If you want some technical information about our parts take a look at this link: Why buy MAR-K? Find out by comparing our products to theirs.
Thanks for letting us post! Feel free to PM me if you have any questions.

I have bought bed parts from Mark-K nice stuff!
I patched up my original bed with a front bed wall and bed strips and bought a front bed wall replacement lower patch. All was heavy gauge and shipped with wood reinforcements in the packaging. Thumbs up.
Hot Rods are good people to, IM buying my glass boards off them shortly to save on shipping, IM local.

Thanks Julie, I followed the link but did not see anything about flat beds. I'll use the PM feature.
BTW You are clearly the most prolific and interesting contributor here. I have been watching Bob's (BJ) posts for a long time and after my post about a hot electrical connection under the dash I added you to my favorites. I have learned SOOOO much in the process since then. Don't think that just because us quiet ones don't chime in that we are not soaking up the wisdom. Keep it up.

Hi Eric,
Thanks for the kind words, but this genious didn't see the word "flatbed" in your post - doy.
I'm having a bit of a problem with the site and getting my replys to post properly. So I can't search and paste for you tonight.
If you go up to the "search this forum" button, and type in "flatbed" then sort it by "relevance" you'll find the answers (which I think is "no one is making flatbead anything, but here's a list of some folks who might have one left"). I know there are at least two threads that have discussed that in the past couple weeks.
In these, Mr. Jones has posted a couple links to sites and mentioned a couple other companies who had/may have some stuff. Pretty sharp guy - Bob!
Good luck
Julie
PS, If you are talking about your wood stakes, you could make some easily or a good carpentry shop could do it.
