Like most of you know I have an exhuast that exits before the rear wheel. Well I sometimes get a lead foot on some civics and hemis and some smoke rolls a little bit. Its been cold and rainy so I haven't cleaned the truck up in a bit. I had some time yesterday to clean the truck up a bit at the local coin sucker. The dang thing is gold plated now its going to take some serious scrubbing to get her clean now.
I was wondering before I reroute my exhaust to behind the rear wheels if maybe a 4 in turn down tip might help my situation out a bit more or just cut the exhuast down some more?
If you are inferring by "cutting down" means to shorten it, I would highly recommend against it. The soot would be all over the underside. Maybe a down turn would help? Maybe extending it out a little past the wheel?
I was thinking maybe cutting the exhaust back a little bit maybe 4 inches and add the turn down tip so it doesn't stick out as far.. I like it but I hate it all at the same time.
Oh no Stacks and a white truck are a BAD combination I seen that at the Dodge meet there was three trucks with stacks mitre cuts and they were all nasty. Maybe turnout stacks would be better. Though with your truck and being a dark color would look great Jim.
