I like stacks but not on a white truck, I kinda favor the turnouts but I really like the mitres but they leave a mess, clankers... I am really iffy about them. But I also hate to lose the bed space. I think when I get some extra money I will try and run my exhaust like Brandons (bdrummonds). Atleast that way you don't get your tips nasty.

Though... I could go this route...

Ah that wash didn't work out too well for you huh? Just move it to the back and you'll be all good. Maybe you shouldn't have been trying to blow that smoke going up the ramp to the interstate yesterday, I saw you getting on it. LOL

My exhaust has a 45* turndown. I haven't noticed any soot problems and it has been this way for over a year. I'm not chipped though, but the way the exhaust turns, the exhaust goes down towards the tire, not the wheel...

Well the rest of the truck turned out pretty good :-p. I got into my Knoxville I-640 merging tune (140) and to give you a Smoke signal .

THat is what I was thinking about but with the chip and when you play with the 140 it can get that way, even the 80E on some big hills. BTW I love those running boards where did you get them and did you have them painted to match?

Thanks! I saw papadelogan's and really liked them, and I actually stumbled on them in a craiglist ad. The guy bumped something and scuffed one side and replaced both. I got them for $200 for both, so the deals are out there. I painted them to match myself and the paint has come off a little where i step, but overall still looks good, not that clean though. If you do get a set, I hear the 2002 Lariat LE's had the same boards only they were black instead of tan...

Is 140 really that smoky? Maybe you could put the tip straight cut, perpedicular to the bedside and have the pipe stick out a little more than it does...

I can deal with the Tailgate easier to clean . I would really like to get those running boards for my truck but I have yet to find them in this area unless you nabbed them off a KR.
