Any suggestions on how to pass the next 4-6 weeks while i wait for my truck(besides trolling f150 forums and driving by the ford store). So far i have decided i need a 3" leveling kit and a 1.5" lift for the rear. Also a roushcharger(not really) and a different grill, one with spots for some big offroad lights(not fond of the plainness of my fx4 grill). Also a tonneau cover and bed liner. Any other must haves?
I am reminded of the southpark episode where cartman freezes himself because he can't wait for the wii. Almost sounds appealing.
It yo figure out a way to pass the time let me know. I was hoping to have my truck ordered by now, but am still waiting on the insurance company to pay off my motorcycle that got stolen. Westin makes a Bull Bar for the 09 which fits 04 - 09.
If you really want something to do I will let come over and wax my new 09, only kidding. But there are a couple of things I am going to look into. My high beams seem to to be scattered, not really lighting up the ground in front of me. So I will probably add some lights or upgrade the current bulbs. I guess there was only one thing. I came from a 06 S/Crew XLT 4X4 and now have a 09 S/Cab Lariat 4X4 and it is a great ride not that I am trying to rub it in. One other thing I did notice is the ride is a little softer than my 06, passenger tires. Other differences are I am already getting over 16 mpg, love the sync, the power is very noticeable. I have tried several time to break the rear tires loose but the traction control kicks in and does its job. I have looked around and there does not seem to be a lot of accessories available yet all though I am sure the 04-08 stuff will probably fit. Oh yea you can never go wrong with mud flaps. Well I hope you enjoy your truck as much as I do mine, it is truly a great vehicle.
I spent a few weeks researching about good waxes and cleaning equipment for it. Ended up buying a 3000psi pressure, Cleaners, Wax, Different types of microfiber towels, Wheel cleaner and treatments, Leather treatments and cleaner, Rubber treatments and cleaners, Sponges, Different types of wash buckets, Paint chip kit, Wheel arch brushes and assortment of interior brushes and so on. This kept me busy for weeks and taught me some new tricks about cleaning my truck and keeping the interior to notch. My truck did take 6 months to turn up though.
I'm in the same boat. I finally got a build date of 2/2. I think that we need to start a support group for people waiting for their truck to come in. We could let rc and bsimmer join the group. To help with the waiting, we could drive their trucks around the block a few times each week.
I'm in the same boat as well. I ordered my truck about 1.5 weeks ago. My salesman has told me it has been scheduled for production but does not have a date just yet, hopefully he will on Monday. For those of you with your '09's, how are the stock headlights? I'm coming from an Infiniti with HID's so I'm used to being able to see very well in the dark. Any good HID kits out yet?

I'm sure you can throw some xenon bulbs in your stock housings but the performance wont compare to a projector setup. The only legit way to do it is to fit some projectors into your stock housing. I did it on my 350 with some acura tl projectors.
