Livewire Questions

Did a quick search, and didn't see my answers. Please bear with me if it has been covered already.

Is there any sort of custom mounts available for the SCT Livewire #9600?

I want something sorta like the Edge Evolution has.

I need a tuner for my truck, and the Livewire seems to fit the bill. Only problem is, I hate that stupid suction cup mount. Just makes it seem easy to steal, and IMO sorta tacky on what was a $40,000+ truck.

If nothing exists, what are the dimensions on the new cased Livewire...the one without the weird bump? I'm thinking I can install it where my ashtray is if it isn't too large.

oh yeah, any thoughts/opinions on it?

I've heard from several people that it liked to randomly lock up. That would suck.

I don't know about lockups, I just got mine last Wednesday and it was simple to flash and has all the features I wanted.

It works great I programmed the 87 performance tune and customized the tire size and removed the speed limiter and was able to exceed all known speed limits with an amazing result in acceleration. (That's all I'll say about that subject - Some get real touchy about that)

As far as the mount, mine shipped with the windshield suction mount, but Mike at 5 Star tuning has Fedex'd me the California permanent mount with a pre-paid return label for the other. I haven't seen any other type any where either.

I did see a aluminum case for the older style one, but not the newer case. Awhile back I was looking at one that was the older style and the case is about the same size just less the bump.
