Diesel - to muffle or not!
Anyone know how loud a 2002 PSD would be with stock cat kept in place, but straight-piped instead of having a muffler?
I like the sound of the diesel PSD on the flowmaster website, and don't want it much louder. (I don't know if its got a cat or not, but it is automatic, which I've been told do not have cats)
Looking for a cheap hp and sound increase!
Thanks.

According to this post, some do. https://www.ford-trucks.com/dcforum/superduty/2358.html
Supposedly the 6 speeds do, which is what I have. Isn't that 8 inch diameter round thing ahead of the muffler a cat?
The sticker on the engine also says CAC, doesn't that mean catalytic converter?

Your up there in Canada...I was thinking you were in the 49 states that have some sanity in their government. The CA trucks had the cats, which I assume you have a cat, the thing in front of the muffler. Bad Ford What were they smokin when they put cats on a diesel?
