DId the guy have insurance and is the insurance company letting you keep it or do you have to buy it back? Depending on the miles, you may be able to also sell the motor.
first off, are all the folks involved in the accident okay? i hope all are well. as much as we all love our toys, they are replaceable. people are not.that being said,i would see what you are going to get as a buy out from insurance first. if its good, then take it and walk away. if you feel its worth buying back, and building a replacement explorer from the good parts then find a donor body and fix her.
First off everyone seemed to be fine except from the guy who got hit by his airbag. Thank god for big trucks. If you saw the pounding my explorer took and that I was able to not only walk but drive away you would be amazed.
Like I said, the truck is beyond repair. Frame, floor pan, b pilliar, rear quarter panel, right side doors etc. I was not carrying collision so I would have to go after the other guy and then there would not be much there. The book value is so low with 250K on it. IMO the only value is in the parts.
why would you have to go after the other gjuy? he has no insurance? where is the COP that was there? what did his report say? where is your insurance company?
