anyone running a summit CAI?

hello all, first post on this forum and I was wondering if anyone is running a summit cai. I just picked up a 93 f150 with a 302 and was just looking for basic mods to gain a little power. So any feedback would be great! I looked for a noob lounge but didnt see anything to introduce myself..

I wass told its basically wasted money unless you have other mods done. The stock is fine for a stock engine

Yep.. I have a 280hp 302 breathing through a stock airbox, the only change it has is a snorkle from an I6 motor(that's the piece between the airbox and rad). I suggest you start by advancing the timing a bit and make exhaust upgrades.

Sure.. but don't expect it to make any difference to the seat-of-the-pants dyno.

I am using the summit clamp on right on the tb, i have 2 one for each butterfly and it made quite a difference in power and milage and think cost 50.00 for both filters

One asthetic advantage of a CAI is you get some cool growls from your engine bay when you get on the throttle.
