help

i really need to know if a points distributor out of a 460 will fit in a 400 or did they put a points style distributor in the 400s at all

As far as I know, the 400 always had electronic ignition. As far as physically fitting though, it should work. Not sure why you'd really want to do that though unless you're putting this motor in a vehicle already running points.

The 400 came with points while it was in sedans from 1971 through 1973. 1974 sedans with 400 had breakerless. By the time the 400 made it into trucks (D7TE block), all 400s had breakerless.

Yeah I wasn't sure about the early LTD's and such.
