got a ps

hey Yall! I have finally come to the point of reality. I cant keep my idi forever as a daily driver. I bought a 99 f350 ps c/c drw. The price was right and I couldnt pass it up.

Since we last talked I have pulled the motor down because of the water in oil problem. The oil cooler o-rings were bad!!!! But to make matters even worse, as i was cleaning the block up to install the heads. I knowticed a piston looked like it had a crack. After cleaning all of the pistons I have 5 that are cracked. The only way i know that this can happen is useing either or starting fluid. I havnt used it on this motor and refuse to use on any motor with glowplugs. I will be pulling the pistions out of another motor with a bent crank. I hope they are ok. If yall have any suggestions of things i should do please let me know. Thanks for all yalls help!!!

Anymore I would rather make mine like brand new or better, than buy a new truck.

Older trucks are cheaper to fix. Easier to maintain, and get way better milage.

I have a '97 PS and I like my '94 turbo IDI better.
I think I'd be happier with a '99-'03 7.3L PS than the '97.

In fact I think down the road I'm gonna get rid of the PS and the wife's Suburban for an Excursion with a 7.3L PS.
