I have a 1977 Ford Ranger 250 highboy. The truck has a 351 Cleveland with a 4 speed. It is of course a 4x4 with a 410 rear end and 409s in the front. I got it on my 16th birthday from my whole family including uncles and aunts. Ti is the truck I've always wanted.
Any way it is my first time on a site like this. I may be able to help you on some ting or maybe you can help me. Actually as a question right off the bat. Where is a good place to get parts. For instance my truck needs weather striping. So where is a good place for prices and quality.
First off welcome to the site! You have a good truck to work with. I really like Dennis Carpenter, they are a little extra money but usually well worth it. I have also had good luck with National Parts Depot, nice people on the other side of the phone and a little cheaper. Not much experience with LMC but I have looked thru the catalog and the prices are good. Also check Ebay. So your truck has a Cleveland in it, wow. Ususally that truck would have a 351M. Whats up with a different axle ratio up front? Anyway welcome and good luck!
I used LMC weather striping, it was ok but the hood to firewall seal was junk, other than that it all seems alright. I have also heard very good things of dennis carpenter. Welcome aboard!

That was normal for the trucks to have the different ratio's. 4.09 to 4.11 isn't enough to worry about when you're using it in low traction situations anyway.
