I got my new DORMAN valve cover gaskets in today and got started installing them. The first side went in good except for one connection that would not cooperate at all. Now im on the second side. The first was already done, but the pins that connect the inside and outside connections of the valve cover gasket harness on the second one were not installed. And this is where Im gettin frustrated. Using the old gaskets as a guide i figured out the only possible way the pins will slide into the gasket, but can't for the life of me get them in. I don't want to put full pressure on it and break a 75$ gasket, so does anyone have any advice? Sorry for this being my 32nd thread about the UVC harness but it should hopefully be the last one lol
Well the "coupling pins" that connect the inside and outside connections hook into came in a separate bag, but the other gasket came with them already installed. Not sure what to do, other than trim it to fit i guess.
sounds like you have the wrong ones.
there should be no trim to fit . uvc harness plugs into the valve cover gasket . simple "click". valve cover gasket plugs into wiring harness. again simple "click".
