Anyone know, off hand, if the tranny hump is higher in an F100 with a C6 than in a truck that came with a three on the tree. The hump in my 67 doesn't even have a removable top, and looks to be quite low. I intend to install a C6 behind a 390, and wondered if I was going to have to modify the hump.
I appreciate any help you can give me.
Thanks, Brett
I've been lucky, my were all automatic and switched to stickshift, so they had the hump and not needed.
My '69 was a C6 truck and the hump in it is quite taller then my '67 MX was. I have to look, as can't remember if '67 comes out? Been too long since I looked under the carpet.
I don't know what determines the hump size? Year/tranny?
I'm thinking it's the trans that determines the height of the hump. My 67 has an MX and the hump isn't removable. My 72 with a C4 is the same. Last year I scrapped out a 68 F250 with a C6 and a 72 F250 with an NP435. Both had removable humps.
I have 2 70 f100s, one was original a 3sp on the column now a 5sp but no hump, but the second one with the c6 has a bigol hump. not sure if its removable though.
About 2 hours with the body saw and a drill, (after measuring and marking) and now My 67 has the tall hump. Looks just like the ones that came that way! Why wonder?!?!
