I can smell diesel thru my air conditioning vents. I believe the fuel is laying somewhere on the intake manifold. The truck is running fine. Any suggestions.
2000 f350 7.3 thanks Ron
fuel drain O-rings. or leaking fuel bowl....
you might want to wash the top of the motor , and than see where the leak is comming from. but usual suspect is your drain valve thet thingy with yellow handle on the back of the fuel bowl...
I'll agree with that 6.0 guy that keeps showing up down here. How's the new truck Pete?
Here's a link on the repair parts you'll need if that's the problem. It also contains instructions with pics on how to fix it yourself. Replacement O-rings for Diesel Engines

no to be funny, but just got back driving my 7.3 and its a diferent animal now, its not like wild turkey, its like turd( compared to what i had with big hair driyer and all ) , nothing against 7.3 but those 6.blows are fast stock. you need a chip and intake with 7.3 to catch up with 6.0....
anyways i still love both of them...... (and i hope you guys dont BAN me from here cause im 6.leaker now????? ............)
thats why im still here to help out as much as i can....

You've got to admit the lower fuel filter is a stupid design. And I'm assuming you've disabled the EGR by now.
Just a word of warning. The 6blow tastes better thanthe 7.3.. I had a squirrel crawl under a 7.3 and climb up in a 6.0 at work and have supper with a wiring harness. Had to install a cat (the 4 legged kind) to fix the problem.
LOL Chris....
the filter is such a PITA, it has special design brake line in the front of it to f-it up more LMAO. first time i went to change it is said WTF
hahaha
and im still running EGR on it.... once i get it straightpiped . i might do EGR block off. or EGR delete
i just got Spartan tune on it and the darn thing goes sideways, ask Kris strokin_it.... and that was mild tune... .
got headstuds on the table LOL.....
