hey guys im lookin at new tires for truck i got an 82 f100 2wd i want pretty good road traction but i more concerned about off road traction i dont take it muddin or anything but i do use it on the farm and go campin and huntin quite often...i was lookin at the bfg all terrain but dont know if something else would be better im wanting to spend no more than 150.00 per tire
Ok, I'm not downing them or anything. Just that thread turned me away from them. I won't say anything else unless I find that thread, since I have no real life input.
we have bfg at's on our 08 2500 dodge short bed. it doesn't do great in the snow. had to add 240lbs of sand in the bed ontop of or usual complement of tools, not to mention the high rise fiberglass cap that weights a ton.
i had some bfg a/t on a 94 z71 and i never got stuck but it was 4wd...but the good luck i had with them before was the reason i was wanting them well that and they are a good tire for the price
Wranglers are horrible. They are some of the worse tires becuaese of difficulty with them hydroplaning. We wont even install them at our shop anymore. Theres a reason why Goodyear has stopped making them. BFG A/T are the way to go in my opinion. I live in MN for school so I deal with alot of snow and alot of crappy weather conditions and only have two wheel drive on my 94 F150 and have yet to get stuck. Put some weight in the back and you will be good to go as long as you dont plan on going mudding.
gonna put some 295 coopers on my new rims.... from what i've heard cooper is great for the cash.... also heard AMAZING things about BFG's. for 150 i'd go with BFG AT, screw the haters !
