Have you tried doing a google search? Whenever I have an idea in my head about something i would like to try cooking or bbq'n I google it up and get some ideas.
I have about a dozen books on the subject of barbecue, which is really quite different than grilling. I have The Barbecue Bible by the author that you mentioned, and it's pretty good, but as you mentioned, way too many international flavors. The book I find myself going back to more than any other is called Smoke & Spice, written by Cheryl and Bill Jamison. The recipes are as American as it gets, without alot of crazy ingredients. The authors give simple instructions that give great results. Hope this helps you out.
Budweiser has one.....About 200+ pages.......You might find it in the 'how-to' section of Home Depot (I saw it there) or Lowes......It's something like 'Budweiser guide to grilling' or some such thing.....Pics, recipes....Etc.
I hate to rain on Texas' parade....but if you ain't using Mr. Pig....You ain't really barbecuing.......Throwing a steer on a bed of coals and calling it barbecue is wishful thinking......
Wife says we have just enough "summer sausage" to try it with. I make it with 50% elk, 10% venison, 10% beef, and 30% pork. Damn...now I'm drooling over the keyboard again

Oh no, no, no. A bed of coals? No way brother! We smoke our meats down here. I can do a beef brisket but I prefer pork.
Sorry, that was meant for fabmandelux. He wants to take a perfectly unhealthy recipe, and put healthy wild game meats in it. I'm sure it would be good either way.
