Turbo chug

I was towing about 9000 pounds today and was pulling a hill and gave it a little go pedal but not enough to downshift it and the turbo started making the damnedest chugging noise it started slow and got faster as the boost built up until i let off and it didn't do it again. Kind of sounded like a locomotive chug so to speak.

Help please

Sounds like you may need a WW wheel. Sounds like turbo surge to me. Looking in your sig, I don't think you should get this, but you never know.

Yes, stock trucks can surge. Normally when pulling up a hill....

Did it kind of sound like this??

Diesel Innovations is the only place that I could find that still has one.
Everyone else that I looked at seems to be sold out or they no longer offer them.
