Well my truck has 105K on it and it recently threw a CEL, i scanned it and it came out as "P0356, Ignition coil F, Primary/Secondary Circuit"
I was about 100 miles from home so I drove it on through. In a few instances it will surge on like it found renewed strength, but other than that it haws felt rather doggy.
Can anyone point out which cylinder "F" could be and any other related items I should be thinking about when attacking this code. P.S. That is the only code on file and I actually just had the car smogged less than 2,000 miles ago and there were no codes at that time.
That would be cylinder #6. They changed the numbering scheme sometime around the introduction of CAN bus operation,and they're now lettered:
1=A
2=B
3=C
4=D
5=E
6=F
7=G
8=H
9=I
10=J
And, just so you know, on a Ford, the cylinders go from #1 at the front passenger-side, to #5 at the rear passenger-side, then #6 at the front driver's side, and #10 at the rear driver's side.
