06 trouble codes/Questions

Hey, Everybody
I scaned my truck this weekend during an oil/fuel filter change and service
found 3 codes:
U0407- Invalid glow plug data
P06011- Fuel injector control mod
P1000- OBD reset
(found the codes hear, this site is great)

Well heres the odd part the truck runs fine, I havent noticed any problems, I haven't check for codes in a long while either. ever now and then say Once a week maybe a odd shift up but that could just be the me and throttle position sensor.
I hate to run to the dealer everytime the truck hic-ups.
I have just rolled 30,000 miles on it so to me its still new.Should I take it in now, is going to leave me on the side of the road (again)? I did lotice the slightest oil leak, looks like a real mail seal to me I know these motors are know for that happening. What do you think? I cleared the codes and Im going to put some miles on it to see if they reset.
Thanks, Aaron

Red face some help please!

Has anyone had these problems, should I take it in to the dealer, or can it wait, when the fuel injector mod goes out will it leave me on the side of the road?
thanks
Aaron

I would take it into the dealer and have it checked. The FICM could have an internal fault or mice visited your engine bay.

I tried looking up those codes in my service manual, but it's for a 2004 so apparently there are more and/or new codes for an 06.

I couldn't find the U0407 at all, but all of the U codes I found had to do with data communications between modules.

All of the P codes I find are 4 digits, so I don't quite know where to look for a 5 digit one. Couldn't find an P0601, or a P6011.

The P1000 code is "ODB readiness test not complete". This usually indicates that something has reset the computer (batteries dead or disconnected, flashing the PCM, etc) and you haven't driven enough for the ODB testing to finish.

I would be concerned based on that and what you said that you have a short or something that is interfering with data communications between the modules. Electrical shorts in computers and data communications can cause all sorts of weird things. I could definitely see a short either in communications between modules, or within a module at the communications connections causing the PCM to reset, causing the P1000.

I agree with Maxium4x4 that a dealer is your best bet. Their computer can do a lot more than just about any code reader we have available to us and perhaps can pinpoint where the problem is.
