disc/disc master cylinder

is there a ford disc/disc master cylinder that will bolt right into the 66 f100. i know you can use the disc/drum master cylinder from the 72-79 trucks. need to know if there is a disc/disc master cylinder that will bolt up the same.

I would think not. On trucks Ford did not put rear disk brakes on until the late 90's or early 2000's on the half tons and 3/4 and one tons got it in 99 on the new Super Duty. I am not sure when cars got them, but at any rate I would think none of those would bolt right on to the 65-66 pickups.

Someone else on here might have tried it and had success and will chime in with their results. I would think anything with rear disk would also have metric fittings and that would create another problem with all the standard fittings on our old pickups.

did a little research and it sounds like the 77 lincon m/c(disc/disc master cylinder) will bolt to a 78 booster. so i should have to do is make the 78 booster fit my truck. i believe it will fit pretty easy reading post on the disc conversion.

That is good info to know, let us know how that works out. I would think if it fits a 78 booster that it should work on 73 and up as I think they were all the same. Sometime in 79 they changed the mounting to the fire wall but that should be about it.

Where did you get your rear disk setup? Is it a kit or did you make it? On an un-realted topic did you get your engine swap completed?

havnt got it yet, just trying to piece it all together on paper. im leaning on going with the 03-07 crown vic front end. as for the rear end looking it will be out of a 93 crown vic wich ran discs in the back. from what i read i need to cut off the mountd for the crown vic and add new spring pads. the crown vic is 5x4.5 bolt pattern and that why im doing the rear as well. here is a great link on the crown vic stuff. im goin g to pick up my crown vic front end sometime next week.

i have a 78 f250 with a disc brake rear conversion. i got my kit at tsmmfgco.com (also my front brakes as well). i have a stock master cylinder that is 25%rear 75% front. will this 77 lincoln MC fix my brake problem giving me 50/50 braking power?

thanks
