More overheating
I have a 93 F150, 5.0 auto tran and it started doing something odd.
The problem is an overheating issue that just suddenly started, there is usually a small amount of coolant puddled on the ground but the weep hole on the waterpump is completely dry. I traced the leak back to what appeared to be the lower radiator hose where it comes form the WP and so replaced that and refilled with approx a 50/50 coolant mix. Just test drove it and it started overheating again. Now it never actually blew steam just was really high on the guage somewhere around the "L", but it never blew steam before either. Im not exactly a mechanic but after searching on here for this problem I did try to see if I had coolant flow. I did not see any flow but when the truck came up to operating temp the coolant level increased and almost overflowed before I got it shut off, so Im not sure if I understood what I was looking for. Help??
