locking hubs

hey guys i was just wondering will it hurt the truck to keep the hubs locked for a periods of time?

Nothing but maybe a little fuel milage,some people leave theirs locked in the winter.

It dropped my milage by about 3MPG when I left mine locked in. It certainly will not hurt anything as mentioned before.

My fuel economy dropped significantly so I stopped leaving them locked.
If it's only lubing you are concerned with, once every couple of weeks for 10-20 miles is fine.

In the winter, everytime I unlock my hubs, it snows. 4 time so far this year, and everytime, enough that I feel Ive needed to lock the hubs back in. Ill leave them locked the for another month or so.

I lock mine in as long as there is snow in the forecast. I like to run them locked when I am plowing so I dont have to rely on the ESOF when I want to engage the front end from time to time. Normally I forget they are locked and unlock them like Mike said, right before it snows again. So they end up locked most of the winter.
