Thinking about buying a set of aftermarket rims

Hey guys. Ive had a 6 inch lift sitting here for almost a year that im waiting to install on my truck. I just finished school and started my apprenticeship as a heavy duty mechanic so im ready to start putting some much needed dollars into my truck. First thing im going to do is install the lift kit and put on some new tires and wheels. I was browsing craigslist and came across some eagle alloy rims that a guy is selling. But what im unsure about is how wide of rims do i want and what kind of offset and backspacing?

Heres a link to the ad
EAGLE ALLOY 0589 rims BRAND NEW!

The guy is asking $600 CDN for them. Im not sure if that is a good deal or not...but im going to call a few local tire shops around here and get some prices before i buy them.

I only run forged aluminum such as Alcoa. Check the companies web site and look at the weight and air pressure the rim is rated for. Compare with a forged rim (Alcoa, Mickey Thompson and Weld for a few). You'll be surprised at the differences between the cast and forged rims. Good luck with your project.

Yeah i think 600 is a little high. I've looked on ebay and saw some 16x10 eagle alloys for as low as 460$ after shipping, but you should be able to find them pretty easily for 500 or under, including center caps and lugs. As far as what size you'd need, I'd recommend a 16x10 or 17x10, depending on the tire size you plan on runnin
