The wife's 04 V6 has a occasional problem starting. It will turnover several times and not start, you wait a few seconds and she starts right up. This only happens once in a while. Other than that she runs and drives great. The plugs and fuel filter were changed a few thousand miles ago.
Swap the relays around in the fuse box under the hood and see if it continues. My Mom's '05 had a relay go bad and it did that same thing. When it finally refused to crank at all I HAD to figure it out.
I have the same problem with my Wifes escape. it is an 2004 3.0 v6. i would like to know more about this TSB that wickymustang is talking about. I live in ohio and when it is cold the car has this problem.
Our '04 had some starting/running issues when the battery started to go downhill. Once it was running it was fine but getting it to start and stay running was the hard part. I thought the place we got the oil changed was trying to make a buck when they kept telling us ut wasn't charging completely.
