Sorry for the intro but my patience is wearing thin. "noone to blame but me really" I'm trying to get the 64' brakes back in order, and NAPA sent me home with rubber lines for a 65?later that use the flange mounted outside the frame. WTF? I didnt stutter ? 64!!!! Does this part still exist ? do I need to mod the setup ? Pretty Please??????? where can I get the correct part ? "Bolts through the frame with about a 1" nut on the inside. The 66' has some stamping on the frame to assist the mounted flange, so not sure what to do as far as an upgrade but to drill another hole through the frame/flange for stability "and I need to hunt down a flange" **** THAT!
Well some searching online at AutoStoned turned up the correct part. Then while returning the wrong parts at NAPA the guy says .. oh yeah/ here we go,.. "No we ****ing don't jackass" Return these and cancel the rear wheel cylinders as well. Screw with me once,........... Sorry NAPA!!! but you did it to yourself.
You can substitute any name of any larger auto parts group for "NAPA"! They are all only as good as the counter guy you get and the quality of the parts they have to sell!

DITTO!! Thanks for confirming that!! we'll fwd the post to NAPA CS lol
PS Brenda @ AutoZone has more Knads & Savey!! than Victor @ NAPA in this neck of thew woods!! AND SO IT GOES!!!
I gave rock auto a try, since the local idiots have to order everything. They were about $15-20 cheaper than the local folks. Thats with shipping figured in. If I have to order it and wait I might as well be compensated in the form of a cheaper price. When I have a project or piece I want to work on today then it could be worth the premium price.
AND throw in the fact that the first thing they ask you is the year, make, model, engine, drive, etc to punch into thier computer and they get REAL confused when you start asking for 75 brake parts for my 66. Some are good and will listen, others are just parts pickers and don't know anything about what they are selling OR what it goes to. I always get on thier websites before I go and do the research and print the info becuase I know they are going to go through the same process when I get there, saves time and mistakes. Not knocking parts guys but customer service is either good or bad, rarely in between.
You just have to tell them you have a such and such and leave out the interesting part. I'm putting a 66 on a 79 frame with a 1970 351 4V cleveland from a mustang. I just pretend I have 3 different vehicles depending what part I need. You don't want to overload them. The only good part about the local boys is the warranty. I generally keep my vehicles and long time and I usually come out ahead on the lifetime brake pads deal, alternators, and batteries. 3-4 brake pad changes come out to something like $4-5 per set, lol.
