My 2002 mountaineer (6cyl) suffered from a broken flange on the exhaust between the catalytic converter and the muffler. All other pipes, hangars, and components look really good, just the flange went bad on the muffler side. Looks like it used to be welded around the pipe and the weld rusted away. I understand that I should be able to fix it with a bolt-on flange repair kit and a new gasket. However, Advance Auto, Autozone, and Strauss Auto were totally useless in helping me. Does anyone know the actual parts I need to buy and where I can get them from? The outside diameter of the pipe coming off of the muffler is 2.25". Thanks, Rob.
