I have searched the site and haven't found anything about changing plugs on a 2008 V-10. I have 88k and wanted to change them. Any suggestions and/or special tools needed to do this. I plan on possibly doing it today if I can get some feedback. Thanks.
i cant believe you have that many miles on your 08 already. im driving an 04 as a DD and have 60.same procedure as any other. use antiseize on the thread ends.
u must live in ur truck to have that many miles on it already...
can i ask what u do for a living to amass so many miles so quickly..
be sure to clean teh plug holes out before removing the actual plug.. good chance dirt and other assorted crap may have become buried down in there... compressed air is a good way to clean the plug hole..
I don't live in my truck but I am in it 4-8 hours per day. I own a dry ice distributing company in Houston and I deliver dry ice to the surrounding cities. Thanks for all or your posts, they were too late but everything went fine. The plugs were a pain in the a$$ to remove but they all came out without breaking. I bought a 9/16 spark plug swivle socket from Advance Auto Parts that came with an extension. It was a life saver and also used anti-sieze and the electrical lube for the plug boots. It took about 2 hours. The plugs had a lot of rust on them and seem to be poorly designed by Ford. We did my friends 03 F350 5.4 with 120K just before mine and they were much easier to remove.
