yea cali is the **** i always wanted to live there and how do these trucks tow even tho they dont got a turbo i used to have a dodge ram 1500 v8 u think it can tow better then that
im pretty sure you cant hurt one by leaving it pluged in all night cause i do it and i havent had any problems, now the towing part well these trucks aint no speed demons at 185 hp 345 ftlbs dont expect it to hold 55 going up a decent mountain without a turbo 45 probly as fast as it will go. i found out what makes mine pull the best is to try to keep the rpms above 2600 when going up a hill or mountain, and when towing expect the mpgs to drop

well i mean as long as i can tow a trailer wit quads on it or like a small car wit no problems that be fine cause my dodge towed my cousin 87ss monte carlo and it pretty heavy and it towed it fine
i towed a 28 ft pontoon boat up a 7% grade in 2nd gear wound out all it would do at 35mph non turbo. i am in the process of makin my own turbo kit with mybe a 7.3 powerstroke turbo and a 6.0 intercooler. maybe that will help a little bit
take off the acc at it will wake that motor up and cut off the mluffer
u dont want to live cali cop are a crocked as a brale of snakes and the states going bankrup case the damn people cant get the budget done

You will not win any speed records with a non turbo, but it will do the job.
The heaviest load I've pulled any distance with mine was a log skidder on an equipment trailer. About 15 miles up I-5 at about 35 mph. The truck had more in it, but I wasn't brave enough to try Figured the weight of it and the trailer was just under 40K lbs. Not recommending anyone to try that!!! I would have gone to jail, had I been caught. I wish they had camera phones back then.
As for normal pulling, 17K total up a 6% highway grade at 25 mph in 3rd gear (5 speed), is the slowest I've run.
