After putting some Diesel 911 in the tank thinking I had gelling issues, that didin't fix it. Noticed today while cranking it over the Tach dosen't move except when you stop cranking it when flicker just a tiny bit, no movement while cranking though. My next guess is to change the CPS anyone have any suggestions? Thanks.
also, see if your neighbor will crank it over for you while you check fuel pressure, as i recall you had it crankng but no white smoke from the tailpipe, if you have fuel pressure then you know its pcm related
Well replaced CPS, now have movement of tach while turning over. But she still wont start, even after talking nice to her. I have fuel pressure, but it's a little low. I don't want to have it towed somewhere to only have an exspensive bill for something that is probably simple.

yeah they are still hanging in there with me. It was starting to crank slow, so I put took them out and put them on chargers will try again at it tomorrow.
well still getting no fuel drained fuel bowl, put lid back on and cranked on it, opened fuel bowl back up to find no fuel in it. So I guess the fuel is still gelled up or the fuel pump took a crap on me. Can't believe it would still be gelled after putting some Diesel 911 and having a heater underneath the truck for a few hours.
put some 911,additive,fuel in the bowl too....since you have been cranking check your HPOP because that may be low now too......when I gelled up last time it took a while for it to fire.....took about 3-4 times dumping PS in the bowl before she fired and cranked it at least 15-20 times(make sure you let the starter cool too)...luckily I buy the bigger bottles and had some in the tool box....I kept a set of jumper cables on it too.
i aint no expert but if the GPR is unhooked then the GP's dont function. when ether hits them while they are on is when damage is done. so in theory i dont think it would hurt. on the other hand it may not help at all since GP's are what help start the truck in the first place. kinda got me thinkin for once. lol
How cold is it there? depending on how cold it is a few hours with the heat under the truck may not be enough the fuel lines could still be gelled up between the tank and the fuel pump.
you need to get that sucker in a warm shop or try to get some heat under it with a good heater and maybe a tarp.
It has been pretty cold the last few days. Temps in single digits with windchill in the negatives. There were 2 nights in a row where the temp was at least -20. It's suppose to warm up next couple of days. Got some tarps for tomorrow and will enclose it and let the heat run. I am pretty sure the lines are gelled.
I am getting fuel now, it cranks but no start. I am going to see if a buddy can bring his Snap On scanner over and scan it while I crank on it to check out some things. I might have a bad IDM, but unsure right now until I get it scanned
