friday night i got into a wreck with the truck in my sig front right corner is all bent up, headlights and signal lights are all smashed out so since the front right signal is smashed out when i right signal the rear one just stay on constant but when i signal left its normal... less than 24 hours after the wreck my dash lights and heater pannel lights go out all of them but the warning lights (check engine, abs, high beams, 4x4, ect.) and sometime between then and now all my clearance lights went out ( taillights, and the lights on the front corners beneath the headlights) brake lights still work 4-ways work interior and cargo light work stereo is fine
so far ive checked all fuses and fuse box and everything ive checked all the wiring connections that can be easily found under the hood and it all seems good...
i really need help the cops are gonna start playin tag with me if i dont get it fixed soon even with the damage sticker as result of the wreck
Your dash lights and running lights are all fed by the same fuse. If all the fuses are good, then I would pull the headlight switch and check the tan/white wire going to the switch. This wire is famous for burning in two, on trucks that are not wrecked. This is the wire that the fuse feeds. If it looks ok, the check for power on the tan/white.
The turnsignal will stay on constant because apparently you do not have the light hooked up on the right front corner. The flasher works on load. So with the light missing, there is not enough load for the flasher to work.
ya i checked that wire as best i could without taking the whole dash appart but it showed no signs of being burnt so are there any other ideas...i hate electrical
To just pull the headlight switch out on my 89, you jerk the plastic piece off around the switch, disconnect the battery, pull the **** all the way out, reach under and push a little button on the switch, and the **** comes out. The take the nut loose and drop the switch out from the rear.
yeah but so far every panel that ive had to "jerk" on rattles like a sumbitch and i tried that i didnt reef on it but i pulled on it and it popped off in some place but other places wouldnt so i think there are screws in it somehow
