Above 32 degrees = no smoke
15-32 degrees = little to no smoke.
15 to 0 = Heavy smoke at start up but goes away in less than 5 minutes.
Below 0 = Neighbors ask me if there is a fire.
White smoke only. Even with the truck plugged in, it will smoke like that. Diesels don't like the cold.

But I think you are right though. She is pretty tempomental.
