is it worth it
Found a 02 F250 CC 4x4 lariat, 7.3 with 180,000 miles. Out the door with tax and everything $11000. Should I be concerned about the miles, do not need it but about 6 times a year but will be traveling some distance when I do use it.

Are you going to drive it more then 6 times a year? These trucks don't like to sit idle. Have someone look at the truck that knows diesels, (7.3 preferred).

All depends on the condition. 180K on the clock can be "just broken in" or "beat to death" or anything in between. Any chance of service records, signs of mods, gooseneck hitch and/or trailer control box? Have the dealer (I assume its a dealer you are looking at) run an OASIS report for warranty fixes. It's not in it's warranty period anymore but at least you can get a feel for it's previous life.

The dealer may just come back with a CARFAX report (mine did) but I believe in the 6.0 forum there is a sticky at the top where you can request an OASIS report.

I will be driving it more than that but will only being hooked to a gooseneck about 6 times a year. Trips range from 600 to 1000 miles roundtrip. It has had a gooseneck hitch but it has been removed. Other than that I don't have any more info.
