What is it ?
My friend just bought a 2006 Eddie Bauer model Explorer. Today, he came by to ask me a question and I could not help him. On the pillar behind the rear seat on the driver's side is a small gadget with a loop on it. One end slides into a reciever- like receptacle. It is mounted on the inside of the door pillar behind the seat. HELP! I feel like a fool, but what the heck is it?

NO, this is a small loop like object mounted on the door pillar inside right bhind the rear seat on the driver's side. The unit is only about 2" in diameter, with a loop end that goes into the part mounted.
