We only got down to -10ºF last night. I'm just glad I was done plowing and home by 12:45. Stuff just seems to break more easily once you get below about +20ºF.

I gotta say, 16.5 hours in a '91 International dump truck (single axle) running a rattle-trap 7.3L IDI diesel gets old after a while. That's a heck of a truck to learn how to plow in, too--yesterday was my first day working for a friend who owns a landscaping company. It was fun, but those first few hours when I was in an apartment complex parking lot with people darting in and out behind you sure was nerve-wracking.

Snow plowing will make you hate the diesel sound really quick.

It's supposed to be below 0 tonight.

Thats not too cold.

Was on a snowmobile trip last winter, and it was -51 outside.

We stayed in our cabin beside the fire and did not sled for two days.
When it warmed up to a mere -28 we then went snowmobiling.

Well, I try not to complain about the cold too much, but it is supposed to be around 20 for us in Va Beach in the morning. Looks like th high is only going to be 24 for the day. While that isn't nearly as cold as it is for many of you, we aren't very well equipped for cold like this! I am going to be installing windows (real ones, as in Pella, not like computer stuff) all day tomorrow. At least the customer keeps the house toasty. It's the trim on the outsides that really suck inthis weather.

What ever happened to global warming???

Southern Ontario is sitting at a balmy -21*C Windchill - 31*C, enough to shut me down for the day.
