I have a '95 ranger splash and I recently changed my rotor and caliper on the front drivers side and now when I lock my hub and engage 4wd... the side I fixed makes a grinding noise. I realized that i had left the hub locked when I replaced the parts but I didn't know if that would pose a problem. anyone have any ideas or need more info to help? I also replaced the rear bearing and dust seal, and it makes no noise when 4wd is not engaged.
not sure mate... was gonna suggest a bad wheel bearing... but since it doesnt make the noise when 4wd isnt engaged that cant be it.. if it was itd be doing it all the time then id say for sure that was it....
Ok can anyone tell me if theres supposed to be trust spacers on the shaft? because the books exploded view shows there should be but when i went to order them from ford.. they told me that there wasnt any on the manual hubs. when i took it apart tho the C clip that is supposed to hold the spacers on was there but no spacers.
