F25 = F250 2WD Pickup
H = 390 2V
R = San Jose CA Assembly Plant
C92,001 = 1968.
------------------ ColodadoFordBoys: No F150's till 1975.
If the truck was assembled in Canada, a C would take the place of the R.
My Bad I'm new at the 67-72 game I always had 73-79's! So please forgive me still learning! My Chilton manual which I refered to for this info said "R" was a canada code but like I stated earlier that was for a later model truck so I guess that is incorrect?

From the 1920's thru 1955, R refered to Richmond, CA.
Richmond was built in Model T days, was too small to assemble all the newer cars/trucks, so a new assembly plant opened in San Jose CA in 1956.
R then refered to this plant till it closed several years ago.
C is the Ontario Canada Assembly Plant that opened over 60 years ago and is still in operation today.
Numbers you are the man. Ok here's one, ignition switch with the round terminals instead of the blades so i can stop using my screwdriver and use a set of keys.

NOTE:
This switch may not match the switch your truck has now because it was a Ford campaign replacement.
The original switch used on these trucks was defective, shorted out and caught FIRE!
In 1970, Ford replaced the original switch with the one above.
However, there were NO mandatory recalls back then. Ford send out "campaign" letters to all the dealers notifying them of the problem.
It was then up to the dealer to notify the customers: Mailers were sent out, but some customers never received them.
This new switch comes with a pigtailed wire plug. The plug was installed on the switch, the pigtailed wires were spliced into the wire harness.
If there is no evidence of this, the switch is the ORIGINAL.
What would signify a 4wd truck? This truck is 4x4, so I'm just trying to figure out if that is the actual vin for this vehicle or if maybe the door has been replaced.
