I've got a 1996 F-350 4x4, Auto, DRW with a flatbed on it. Ford made it as a cab and chassis truck. With just over 208k on it I've been having problems keeping it running at idle. It's got a new fuel filter and clean oil but keeps stalling out at idle.
Sometimes it idles for an hour, other times 5 minutes before it just shuts off. It seems to stay running longer if all of my lights are off as well as the radio. Also, sometimes if its idling for awhile, when I go to put it in drive or reverse then it stalls out. No idea whats going on. My guess is electrical, but I don't know for sure. It also fires right back up everytime, and seems as if nothing was wrong. Never shut off at a stop light or sign. Always happened after a couple of mintues.
