thanks- I'm an oilfeild truck mechanic and work has me redoing( can't say restoring as work won't let me everything i want to) a 56 f750 or f7 oilfeild wireline service unit for trade shows and I have to do a cab swap- as the oringinal cab is trash- i'm not familiar with 50's stuff - 70's more my style - i've had a couple torinos and a few 80's mustangs but this is my first 50's project. it's cool but uncool as I am going to have to slice up a good cab from the donor truck.

the truck was originally built in 1957 and they cut the back wall off and sectioned the roof and mounted an aluminum body that encompassed the cab- kinda cool how they did it back in 57-it's kinda rough and crude but it was 1957-

The big trucks and the small trucks have the same cab. 1956 cab -but I heard from number dummy that some 56s were actually titled 57s.
I have removed and installed 2 big columns this year and reinstalled them in 56F100s,and WM JOE is right....1 piece removal technique.....Bill
