Another vote for ground problem, but to clarify- are the lights being weird on the trailer or the truck?

Just being weird on the trailer the ones on the truck work fine.

I also agree.. a ground wire problem.. check the ground wire to trailer from the truck.... or run a temp ground to verify the problem..

What is the best way/ how did you run a really good ground?

Also have you heard that if you hook it to the truck it will ground it better i have been doint all my testing without it hooked up.

jumper cables work good

you should have a white wire in you pigtail that hooks to the trailer frame,a good place to start then check each light

Make sure the truck side is connected to ground as well. As far as I know.. the stock wiring always is.. but I have seen a couple of trailer joints forget that part..
