i might be able to get my hands on a glas spack out of a parts car. the exhaust system was put in before scrapped and the system seems to be in great shape. my question is will 1 glass pack sound good off a 300 6 with 2 pipes after the glasspack coming out under the bumber? i want something to sound good but not like a ricer and not too loud. i don't wanna wake the neibourhood up at 2 am
i have a 95 f-150 in-line 6. the pipe is cut right in two behind what looks like the first cat. and before the secound. im not sure if thats what they are or not.but anyway it sounds like @#$%$#@ and vibrates more than i wont it to. if i go with a glasspack after the cat and then split the pipe coming out under the bumber will that reduse the vibrating, and how much will if cost? thanks Samson
ive got glass packs on an 87 f250 with a 6.9 diesel its quiet till you stomp into it them its loud but just driving down the road it has a nice low roar to it.
mine didnt sound bad at higher rpm, nothing at all like a buzzy rice rocket. Mind you, this glasspack was at least over a decade old, and really long like 30". I think it was 2.5" pipe.
mine are 2.5 in and out i have duals from the motor out and they are the longest you can get now and they sound real good loud when u want an quiet when you want
Run a 3" straight pipe system, it will sound good. Thats when you get the good sound. No matter what you run you WILL know its a 6 though. They are either a hate it or love it sound.
